The Wind

James Norrington eyed the pirate suspiciously as he stepped towards him softly and gracefully; for once without his usual swagger.
- So Commodore, me luv, it seems youre stuck with me for quite sometime, - Jack Sparrow smirked and suddenly turned away.
- And what are you intending to do with this situation, may I enquire? James damned to hell the day he agreed to go to Saint-James with new holder of the British Letter of Marque.
- Yes you may, - Jack turned around and smiled, letting the light glint off his gold teeth.
Norrignton gave his best look of exasperation and Sparrow obliged him with a proper answer:
- Im just going to follow the wind, luv, and hope itll take to Saint-James.
- What do you mean, Sparrow?! I thought we agreed
- Captain Sparrow, if you please, and dont you worry your pretty head about anything: just trying to make you stop being so self-controlled! with that Sparrow flew out of the cabin, before Norrington could harm him.

The sky was like black velvet strewn with the diamonds of stars. Sparrow and Norrington are alone on quarterdeck of the famous Black Pearl. Jack stands behind the Commodore who is looking out at the dark sea. The pirate wraps his hands around the Commodores waist.
- Will be in Saint- James tomorrow, luv. Are you happy?
James leans in into the embrace for a brief moment before taking Sparrows hands of him.
- Yes, Im content.
- So you are just content? Could it be you want to stay for a bit longer on my ship, perhaps to enjoy a certain pirates company?
Commodore nearly snorts:
- I do no trust you enough to enjoy your company
- Ahh, well as I said to Elizabeth once, we are peas in the pod.

- Listen, Commodore, I know you dont trust old Jack, but this time youve got to. I know you are desperate to get some information about that Spanish dog, but let me go with you or take some of my more thug looking men.
- Maybe I should take Anamaria, she can distract them and she is more vicious than any thug I know, - James was extremely annoyed by Sparrow who would let him go meet his informant. Stop pretending that you care for me!
- Well, - pirate looked taken aback, - I do care for you, luv.
- Sparrow, be honest for once in your life. What feelings do you have for me?! Stop playing!
Jack looked sad. It was the first time James saw sadness in those eyes, smudges with kohl.
- James Im like the wind, I cant stop, I have to move on all the time
- So go ahead, move on! Stop bothering me! Norrington turned and went without looking back
- but I can take you with me, - continued Jack quietly.

- Commodore, I cant bloody well believe that you would get into a fight with tavern drunks!!! shouted Jack as he ran towards the docks holding the Commodore by the hand.
- Why did you return, Sparrow? shouted James in return without trying to free his hand.
- Because I was sure that reliable source of yours could only be relied upon to try to rob or kill you, luv, - it was beyond Jamess understanding how Sparrow managed to shout so many words while running without the raggedness of his breath showing.
They stopped. James yanked Jack towards himself.
- Be honest, Sparrow, - short clipped words, - Wind is not supposed to stop or to return.
- Well, it can be ruled by sails of the ship, I guess you are ship which Im supposed to obeySometimes, - a playful smile on Jacks lips was too irressisteble.
